Improving people’s overall health means addressing the linked social, economic, and racial issues where they live.

We support a wide variety of health initiatives in our five geographic focus areas, ranging from the creation of community gardens and the construction of healthcare facilities, to the renovation of youth playing fields and the promotion of design for safe streets.

We are a community partner in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Interdisciplinary Research Leaders initiative, being led locally by the University of Minnesota. The initiative brings together leaders across the county to collaborate and innovate to advance a Culture of Health.
